THE ROOM Art Books Wine
Located in the historic district of Užupis in Vilnius, THE ROOM is a contemporary gallery and exhibition space. Since opening its doors in 2017, the gallery has been shaped by the idea of bringing together art, books, and wine into a single cultural experience. Alongside its exhibition programme, THE ROOM is home to a carefully curated bookstore and wine shop—offering nourishment for both mind and body.
Rooted in Užupis' enduring creative legacy, the gallery embraces new perspectives and contemporary artistic practices. It provides a platform where established artists and emerging talents meet, fostering dialogue across generations and disciplines.
Gallery and exhibition space
THE ROOM is a creative space that welcomes both established masters and artists of the younger generation. Since its establishment in 2017, the gallery has organised more than 40 contemporary art exhibitions. Its activities focus on presenting the latest works by contemporary artists, supporting emerging artists, developing contemporary art projects, and delivering educational programmes.
Gallery practice
Our activities extend beyond the gallery walls. We regularly collaborate with partners to organise and co-curate exhibitions in a variety of venues and cities, participate in art fairs, and engage in a wide range of artistic and cultural projects.
Bookstore
We offer a carefully curated selection of the latest publications, bestsellers, and literary classics — from historical works and fiction to art books and children’s literature.
Wine Shop
The gallery also offers a collection of high-quality Portuguese wines — from traditionally made wines to biodynamic and natural varieties.
