Rugsėjo 16 d., ketvirtadienį, 18 val. THE ROOM galerijoje (Polocko g. 17, Vilnius) atidaroma Inos Budrytės tapybos paroda „Iškasti ir išnirę“.
Paroda vyks iki 2021 m. gruodžio 22 d.
Ina Budrytė apie parodą: „Kartais mano paveikslai atskrenda. Lėtai, lengvai nusileidžia, pamatau juos iš tolo, stebiu jų artėjantį sklendimą ir ryškėjantį paviršių. Toks paveikslų atsiradimas yra retas ir nutinka neplanuotai. Dažniausiai aš savo vaizdus atkasu iš ten, kur galbūt kadaise pati palikau ir pamiršau, bekasdama atrandu ir kitus, netikėtus nežinia kieno paslėptus vaizdus. Su atkasamaisiais reikia pavargti, ypač jei žemė akmenuota. Nors kartais darausi eskizus, bandydama nuspėti, ką pasiseks rasti, bet tie eskizai tik kreivazodami apytikriai nuveda prie kasimo pradžios taško. Kai po didesnių ar mažesnių pastangų atsitrenkiu į požemiuose belaukiantį prinokusį vaizdą, nustebina vaizdo išbaigtumas ir įsitikinimas, kad jis man nori kažką pranešti, kažką priminti. Tuomet seka vaizdo prisijaukinimo ir įminimo etapas. Šitie atkastieji niekada nebūna susiję su aktualijomis ir kasdienybe. Kasdienybės aktualijų pažadinti vaizdai paprastai guli smėlėtame ir dumblėtame dugne po vandeniu ir sujudinti kadaise pergyventų įvykių atsikartojimo ima kilti į paviršių.“

At 6 pm, Thursday, September 16th, THE ROOM gallery (Polocko St 17, Vilnius) opens Ina Budrytė’s exhibition of paintings ‘The Unearthed and Resurfaced’.
On view till 22 December 2021.
Ina Budrytė on her exhibition: ‘Sometimes my paintings arrive through the air. They descend slowly and easily; I can spot them from afar and follow them as they glide closer and their surface becomes more distinct. It is rare for paintings to emerge this way, also something that can never be pre-planned. I mostly unearth my images where I probably have left them behind and forgotten; in the process of digging, I also come across other images, unexpected ones that were hidden by someone else. The unearthed ones require considerable labour, especially if the ground is rocky. Though occasionally I make sketches to help me guess what I might succeed in finding, the sketches are merely approximate doodles leading to the starting point of the unearthing works. When after more or less effort I hit upon a ripe image slumbering in the underground, I am surprised by the completion of it and the certainty of its intent to communicate or refresh my memory of some things. The next stage is that of taming and unlocking the image. The unearthed ones never speak of the contemporary or mundane. The images evoked by the quotidian actualities usually slumber in the sandy and muddy grounds under the water and when stirred by the recurrencies of some earlier experienced events start emerging to the surface’.
